Hollywood
Reporter and from Variety.
Our sincerest congratulations to director Guillermo del
Toro and, of course, to Doug, whose dual performances as
the titular 'Pan' and the creepy 'Pale Man' have astounded
all who have seen the film. |

31st
January, 2006
Production
began January 29th, 2006 on Comedy Central TV sit-com pilot,
Gay Robot!!
Gay Robot is a character that was developed
and voiced already on a CD by comedian Nick Swardson,
one of my co-stars in, and writer of Benchwarmers
(opening at U.S. cinemas in April). Unlike Benchwarmers,
where they used my voice for the character, in
Gay Robot, I am an extension of Nick's
character in that I am in the robot machine/costume,
bringing the visuals to life, while Nick is voicing
the character through a microphone on set. So
not a huge star vehicle for me personally.
This
robot is very close to the same design as my robot
character, 'Number Seven' in Benchwarmers,
largely because Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions
who produced Benchwarmers is also producing
Gay Robot, and they came back to Stan
Winston Studios, and me, to reprise our efforts
as the robot team.
