COCA COLA ~ VAULT 'SCARECROW' (2006)

Shown during the 2006 Superbowl

Filmed 24th - 26th August, 2005, in San Luis Obispo, California, Doug played this 7-feet-tall scarecrow in a green-screen leotard and wearing 8-inch platform boots, and his performance was then used as a basis for the CG animation of the scarecrow itself.

 

Doug Jones Remembers ... being a digital scarecrow

I wore a green screen leotard to give the digital artists a basis of movement out there on the farm to complete the artwork of the mechanical scarecrow over me. My favorite part? Probably chasing the hippies off the property at the end. Ridiculous fun!
